Week 14 and counting
It’s Wednesday and week 14 all at the same time. i guess sooner or later, it would have been this period of time. Finally, all my presentations are done and over. A post-mortem of the presentations would see me ranking my presentations in terms of performance (based on my opinion) in this order:
on a scale of 1-5 (1 for the worst and 5 for the best), here goes:
5: Persuasion – Shell & Ogoniland
4: Strategic Brand Management – Dell in China
4: Strategy – Raffles Medical Group’s A New Lease of Life
3: International Economics A – Asian Financial Crisis & US’s Currency
1: Creative Tactical Communications – Print Ad & Viral Video
Actually, no real fantastic presentations. I must say that the powerpoint slides for SBM and Strategy were very well done! Love them to bits. Don’t really feel very confident about how i would do this semester, in fact, i don’t think i’ll do well. *sigh*
Just slacking around before i start on re-writing my Strategy Report. Oh, i had LOTS of fun yesterday. Although there was Strategy Presentation, i was really relaxed because i wasn’t presenting a very important portion, just the second half of the Learning Journal and the Learning Journey Video. So i was just happily waiting by the wing until it was my turn, when i realised that i was in actual fact, a tad more nervous then i thought i was. I started spouting rubbish and things like “love each other more” came spilling out. I bet Dr. Ben Chan is wondering about the effects Strategy has on his students. However, as bad as that was, Richard and i did lighten the mood in the class, which had gotten sombre and serious during the important parts of the presentation.
The real fun part came when we Chimps started to take photos while wasting away our time, waiting to speak to Dr. Ben Chan. In a mere 15-30 minutes, i can’t really tell how long we took, there was a grand total of 60 pictures!!! hahaha 
haven’t had so much fun in a while, and i tell you some of the pictures are disgustingly ugly, fats were shown, double chins, triple chins and what-nots were abundant. I will be posting some of them up, but not all, i’ll reserve the real ugly ones just to the privacy of the 5 of us. hahaha
That was about it, i was so tired that when i reached home, i dropped on mama’s bed and fell asleep. Only waking up for dinner later, shower, chat, pick kor kor, back home to my lovely bed.
Today’s THE DAY, to start all my MUGGING and REPORTING!

My god, i don’t really know where this post will start from. Thursday i suppose will be my starting point. Got to school with a sore throat and with plans to visit the school doctor. Didn’t manage to see him thanks to a large crowd there and by lunchtime, i guess i was burning up. My apologies to Alan, Richard & LiRong, paiseh. I actually fell asleep during our meeting, couldn’t eat the chicken rice bought for me, and was basically i think an irritant. I do not really remember what happened during that few hours. My only recollection was waking up because i was too cold and starting to shiver. I popped by the toilet and almost fainted in there. I remember clutching on to one side of the toilet cubicles, while staggering my way around. Everything else seemed to be much of a blur.
When back for the meeting with them, but couldn’t really concentrate or for that matter digest what they were saying. I was slowly starting to feel better, but i think the soya bean milk and the appearance of my brother, did help too. I guess when you are not well, seeing a familiar face makes you feel more comforted. Besides, i was really glad that he was driving home, i badly needed to rest.
Soon after getting home, i popped Panadols and then collapsed on the bed, concussed till around 8-plus. I had slept for something like 3 hours ++. Getting up for dinner took quite an effort. I remember being in a very long dream, and it was almost a nightmare if i might say. I woke up in a puddle of sweat, stood up and almost fainted again. Didn’t really feel good at all. Went back to bed at 11+ after another dose of Panadols.
Friday morning proved to be another round of Thursday. Couldn’t get up in the morning, whole body ached and of course, the world spinned. Ate a little bit of breakfast, sent the powerpoints and pictures to liRong for compilation and then showered and packed off to school for viral.
Don’t really feel like talking about Creative Tactical Comms, can’t really tell how i fared. :I
Came home feeling as bad or worst then yesterday. Whined and complained to mama who took it all in her stride and decided to sit down with me and see exactly what was wrong. Took a number of hugs from mama before i settled down on the couch and fell asleep, taking a break from the dizzy world. Woke up about 2 hours later and went with her to pick papa up from work. Felt much better after waking up in a real pool of sweat and for once, i was hungry. Couldn’t really remember what being hungry was, haven’t been feeling hungry for quite a number of days. Either that or i was hungry but easily filled up, i guess they all boiled down to not feeling well. 
Now, i’m feeling much much better! Enough energy to sit down and type something out. This reminds me, Mama was taking a look at the pictures my strat group took yesterday, she took one look at my picture and went…: “aiyoh, so pale. why didn’t you come home?” Now, Mama is not someone to say that i look pale, so i always take her seriously when she says i do. and of course, she was a lot more concerned about my this bout of dizzy spells. I normally get dizzy when i have my “thing”, but this time round, there is no such “thing” and i was getting spells that were worse.
A mini check on the glucose meter did show that my glucose level was a tad lower then it should be, so she fed me honey, and told me that everytime i was giddy, eat sweets… I guess i need to go back to my sweet days and buy more sweets, eat more sweets, and grow fatter -____-
Anyway, i hope i get back on track and maintain it till until the exams. Now is the wrong-est time to get sick. I have a Persuasion Class Test aka EXAM on tuesday. Followed by my Strategy and International Economics A EXAM(S). Someone, pray for me please.

It’s Week 13
it’s week 13 and a while since i last blogged.
i just uploaded a whole slew of pictures mostly taken yesterday, Tuesday 14th November 2006. was in a photo-taking mood i suppose.
It started with meeting Mel and Laura for brunch, while catching up on lost time. We’ve not properly had a meal with each other for quite a while, the last being when we met up during our intern days. It was soooooo goood… just sitting and chilling (irony here, the weather was so HOT!). i guess its the company that counts more then the weather we proceeded to a GSR they booked to take photos and yeah… below you see the outcomes… hahaha
Strategy was uninteresting and probably the most boring of all lessons… i guess it was due to really LONG and monotonus presentations…*see me yawn* i hope my group’s presentation doesn’t get the same comments…
For dinner, our family went to Hotel Phoenix to have buffet under Papa’s suggestion. It was pretty alright, pretty good spread, but that’s about that i guess. I’m not a good person to bring for buffet dinners or lunches. i’m bad at eating a whole chunk of food at one sitting… but i like the feeling of buffets… the freedom of being able to eat anything i want and in any order, soups, then desserts, then salads, then salads again, then main course, then desserts… hahaha *happy happy happy*
Currently, i’m in my International Economics class, trying to look as if i’m paying attention to the presenters… but i’m blogging.. haha. some groups have really good looking slides…
Project wise, i’m down to my Strategy report & presentation, my viral video, my Strategic Brand Management presentation and report decoration and that’s about it. Tests and Exam wise, i have my Persuasion class quiz on next Tuesday, followed by my Strategy and International Economics.
